I am all for gradual weakening of raids and even at the end period before the expansion. The issue I feel is the uncapped version of tomes should be only able to be aquired when the content is most relevant and only in the hard mode of the raid. Allow the lesser tomes to be freely aquired in dungeons and the new version of CT but alexander should be the only way to aquire the best tomes until the first round of nerfs hit the raid.

But... the uncapped tomes only give the weathered/unweathered gear... Why do you want to lock ilvl 100 tomestones behind ilvl 130 content? Unless you meant the poetics, but you're still locking inferior items behind a "higher" tiered content; Ironworks are only ilvl 120, and you cant get it to 130 unless you get stuff out of raid content anyway, on top of the ilvl 120 weapons requiring a tomestone that's also locked in coil.

    I respectfully disagree.

Edit: Ok, I really can't just leave it at that. With the 20 ilvl gap between tome sets right now, by only dropping the top level tome in the hardest raid, it would primarily prevent new players from gearing to a sufficiently high level to get into the raids, at all. Currently, if a newer player farmed out tomes for several weeks, then they should have competitive enough gear that a raid group could take them. If players that were not doing raids had absolutely no access to i120+ gear, then it would only make them even less desirable to step into raid level content.

No, it isn't. Heavensward's equivalent to CT will come in patch 3.1, Alexander Normal Mode will be on par with the coil raids after nerf from what I've read.
