Next time tell the translator to avoid this sort of needless trollbait by keeping his/her own questionable hobbies out of Yoshi's letters. I'm sure the community appreciates the attempt to make Yoshi seem more carefree and relaxed, but words like 'derp' and references to a children's cartoon in every single letter should be left out.

Some of us are well aware it was a joke but like to play along and have fun, while others idea of fun is to name call, ridicule and harass people whom they disagree with. I fear the latter rather than the former.

Yoshi's literal words were 「マイチョコボ（仮称）」, "My Chocobo (tentative name)" The "My" is English. He might have been refering to My Little Pony, he might not have, but the translation was not a far stretch, lol. And it was funny.
