My Little Chocobo - PLEASE RENAME

I just read in Letter from the Producer 16 that they are considering "My Little Chocobo" for the name of the Chocobo system.

SE, not everyone here is obsessed with My Little Pony like you seem to think. It's one thing to make jokes in reference to it in letters, but please leave this meme out of the game.

If you must, have an NPC reference it or something, but to base an entire game system's name on it? Please. I beg of you. Name it something else!!!

EDIT: I realize the name is not set in stone, and that it could very well be a joke. However, until we know otherwise, I am urging SE to think of a name more fitting to the XIV universe.

EDIT 2: I don't find MLP funny or entertaining, so humor pertaining to it just goes right over my head. It's sad that even though I insulted no one by making this thread, countless people have insulted my intelligence for not getting the joke. What a friendly community we have, eh?

I don't care either way really. I lol'd when I read my little pony, and while I'd prefer the actual system name to be something I can tell RL friends about while trying to get them to play, without them laughing in my face and dismissing it outright... it doesn't matter in the end. We still get to ride yellow chickens.

As you might have guessed, this system is still under development…and the name is obviously still up in the air.

"Materia" was also a temporary name before they made it official.

That's not to say I don't like the name Materia (in fact I love it) but that's just to say it's happened before that they've kept a prototype name.

Because it was decided among the players and devs that "Materia" was a suitable name not because they said "Fuck it, keep the name wrap it up for 1.19!"

I personaly lol'd at the "My Little Chocobo" name especially me being a lalafell and our chocobos seem to fit the name well. :P
