Astrologian Job Idea

even though astrologian sounds great, I still don't see it as a healing class. I've played healers my entire MMP career and the only class in FFIXV that can be called a healer is White Mage. The cross classing of these jobs hurt the main job or class. Astrologian sounds to me as a DPS base class job more than healer, so I don't see why it would be classed as one. One of its main stat is INT which a DPS stat NOT a healer stat. Yes is nice to be able to pull abilities from other jobs but the sub class hurts it, like summoner, its a weaker job because it shares a sub class as ARC, My scholar is better but my summoner is weaker and vise versa. This job if it being a HEALER should have been cross class with White mage and NOT ARC, you hurt if from being a playable healer class, in my opinion its more or a super support class than a healer class. You might as well get rid of BRD now because brd cant DPS or Support after this job.

But it is a healer class... we don't know its skills yet which is a major pain, but it'll be healing.

The game would be pretty boring if we only had white mage to heal with.

It has no base class - its a job starting a level 30, and from what we know can switch between big heals (like a whm) and damage mitigation (sch), but it can't switch too frequently. (similar to a scholar and their fairies, without swiftcast it will take a while to recast them).

At present we also do not know what cross class abilities they will get (partially due to the lack of base class) - All we do know for certain is that they can heal !


Machinist will be a contender for BRD - They're long range, have buffing turrets (from what I can gather) and will have a similar playstyle, but it'll still probably be unique in what it can deliver.

This thread was just some random guy making up his own idea for Astrologian, this is not SE's Astrologian. It is all made up for fun by the poster.

You might want to check post dates and actually read the original post before typing all that out....
