    *Notes*
I went with Astrologian versus Astrologer because that's the term they called it in 2.4's story. :B
While designing this class, I wanted to stay away from naming stars/planets because SE has yet to give up any information on the skies of Hydalen other then the moons and some sort of "Dragon Star"
Almost all of the skills come from Astronomy terms, a few geometry terms, and Celestial Stasis is from Tactics. :B
I really wanted to try and stay away from pets and/or buffing for this one because a good chunk of my ideas are either one or both of those...

I also made this classless because of Dark Knight and I figured maybe the Ishgarian jobs won't have classes.

We will probably never get different types of jobs that are different than what its setup for which is only dungeon.

Tank > healer > DPS > (support though its mixed with DPS)

FFXI it worked cause most of the stuff happened outside of the dungeons and game was made revolving around a plan of attack due to if you failed you lose pop item.

Here I don't see anything that needs other jobs you could probably beat the game with the setup we have now.

Would just be better if they did a more evolved versions of the jobs themselves and re-level for different skills

Got ninja to 50 basically rogue with Ninjutsu so basically why make new jobs just paladin > dark knight new skills > whatever tank is next

This is exactly what Arcanist was originally planned to be. They changed it because that type of job doesn't fit in ARR because Yoshi is too in love with the holy trinity. He cares more about how a new player will feel coming in and seeing a complicated system than how the actual players feel.

By that logic, they didn't need to add Rogue/Ninja or plan to add Dark Knight and the other hinted at classes/jobs in Heavensward either (minus fanservice) because most people already beat the game with the original, 2.0 jobs.
Its just adding another way to play the game and grind, for variety and replayability's sake.

I designed this Job so that it would still fit in the holy trinity, it's a DPS, it just happens to have debuffing capabilities, like how Bard has buffing capabilities.

Not to rain on your parade, but could this also be called "Time Mage"? I ask because all Jobs are directly named after the famed jobs of the franchise and a Time Mage would be the ideal classic job to be an astrologian.

But there is no time or space/gravity aspect to this job.
Astrologer does appear in Tactics (as the job from a one-time party member :B), I figured an obscure job would allow for more originality and creative liberties.
Plus, Duelle already made an Astrologer => Time Mage & Green Mage healer class/job
