My thoughts exactly. I've played a lot of MMOs and generally the people who claim they are "elitist" are usually just decent players who like to belive they are in the top 1% of the playerbase when in reality they are in the top 20%. Not bad by a long shot, but not elitist.

It's a bit of an inside joke. OP is just embracing the elitist title given after some posts made in the past. For example:
