Um, I play on a PS4 and just downloaded the benchmark on my laptop to play with the character creator for a while. Totally doable, even considering my laptop can't really run it well.

Of course...
LOL!!
It wasn't sarcasm aimed at you at all. It was aimed (well, I was hoping it was aimed) at the "injured innocence" of people (not necessarily including the OP) who immediate assume that they have been slighted somehow simply because something that they are unable to easily participate in happens.
I whole heartedly agree with your comment that I will report below;
To reiterate, this is NOT a contest exclusively for PC players. We may have a slight advantage, yes, but complaining about that is like me complaining that people who are more artistic than me or people with a Twitter account have an advantage.
I can understand the disappointment of not being able to participate, but it's kind of silly to suggest that SE is being unjust by providing an event that some people may have trouble finding a way to/may not be able to participate in. There will always be events and contests that people are unable to participate in, that's kind of out of SE's control.
If you have trouble setting up a Twitter account, or getting to a PC where you can use the benchmark character creator, that's a bummer - but guess what? There'll be other contests! Contests that YOU can participate in, and other people cannot.
I don't think there's a problem with SE catering events to specific communities and subsets of this community, so long as the rewards for those contests are available though other means/contests that those who missed out on the previous contest may have a chance of participating in.
At least last time I tried to access the forums via a ps3 browser, it would not let me sign in, due to lack of cookie support. The playstation browsers may provide limited functionality, but they by no means provide proper support."don't have access to the forums natively?" Say what now? What is 'native' access to a web forum anyway? My cellphone can post to this forum, so I guess that counts? Or do you think that consoles are so primitive that they lack web browsers? I haven't checked recently to be certain that the forum works flawlessly on them, but PS4 and PS3 both have web browsers which allows users to access the forums.
Go to Google get a pic of an Au Ra and post it under the guide lines. Won't be your Au Ra but it will get you in on the competition.

I am very curious how you built a PC that pulls 8k at max when my cheap PC that pulls 5-6k cost like 50% more than I paid for my PS4 (600ish before taxes and shipping for pc parts not including case over $350 for my PS4) using on sale parts (ordered from the cheapest REPUTABLE sites) that are outdated (what with even a GTX660 costing just under half the price of a PS4 and lets be real at that point spend the extra $20-30 to get a 960) <.<This right here. This can be closed and locked because this is the correct answer. It's funny seeing console players complaining about a PC benchmark. If you are that bothered buy a PC. Can't afford one? Be happy you have a console to play the game on. INB4 I can't afford a PC - I built a PC for as much as my PS4 cost that is capable of running the game at maximum settings pulling a hare below an 8k score.
not starting a console vs pc thing here I am just legitimately curious as I may be interested in upgrading if its going to be less than $350 for all the parts for a full PC (minus the case of course I can just keep reusing mine until it rusts for all I care its just a box) thats going to run the game almost 30% better
trust me this isn't worth it I tried arguing about the bench mark in a similar way got bashed in so many ways on the matter it started out as a request then escalated in to a over 10 page hell hole while I think it's unfair still in not arguing it any more cause you know people.
I have never built a PC myself, but it is to my understanding that (so long as you know what you are doing/have someone to help who does while learning) building a PC is always going to be cheaper than actually buying one yourself.I am very curious how you built a PC that pulls 8k at max when my cheap PC that pulls 5-6k cost like 50% more than I paid for my PS4 (600ish before taxes and shipping for pc parts not including case over $350 for my PS4) using on sale parts (ordered from the cheapest REPUTABLE sites) that are outdated (what with even a GTX660 costing just under half the price of a PS4 and lets be real at that point spend the extra $20-30 to get a 960) <.<

I'm kind of stumped on this thread.
People keep on bringing up, "PS4 Players" being left out. You mean to tell me you have a PS4 (which is upwards of 400 dollars), but no capable computer, laptop, or access to either? Or hell, a friend, parent, or relative with one? Really? I bet there's no local library, internet cafe, or Kinko's nearby either.
Some people even brought up that they only have tablets. You mean like the Surface, or iPad? Both with prices that rival capable laptops? Seems like people are grasping for reasons to complain, to me.
