I don't see any body hair in that picture on the chest... Just armor shadows.I suppose that's true.
I know this may not be much but have you ever looked at the picture of the title male hyur? The detail is pretty amazing and if you look at his exposed chest area he has some faint chest hair poking out.

So in reality SE has designed a male with chest hair already. We just don't have any in game.

Would be happy if the facial hair was shared instead of it being limited to which face you choose
And if they're gonna give is "fake" attachable facial hair (like the christmas event) they should allow us to dye it. And maybe not make it so cartoonish looking

Seriously? Did you zoom in? Like I said, it's faint, but it's there.
EDIT:

Everyone has testosterone. Some just have more then others. It's really not as cut and dry as you think it is. Labeling body hair as masculine is societal in nature. Labeling anything masculine or feminine is the same.Testosterone isn't real I guess.
Body hair is a trait seen on men more often than on women. That hormone is literally what gives much of the "masculine" features that the appearance of masculinity stems from, including the growth of body hair.
The appearance of it being beautiful, sexy, or ugly comes from society, but not it's existence lol.
All I want is a long-ass Gandalf beard like the old wizard I am.
If my post sounded like I was saying women didn't have testosterone, then I apologize. It is still required for muscle development and other functions. However, my point was men had far greater quantities than women. Here are the averages by age:

This isn't a "some might have more or less", this is a vast difference between both sexes after puberty hits (when the major features of what looks feminine and masculine appear).
I don't know why I am arguing basic biology on a MMO forum, this is a strange topic to talk about here of all places.
My point is really that that is only averages and there are women with high testosterone and men with low testosterone and those people should not be excluded. Anything a man does is masculine and anything a woman does is feminine. We should not attribute arbitrary values to people for it always excludes people. Everyone has body hair. While the amount is very dependent on testosterone it is not dependent on if you are a man or a woman. I know it seems kind of like semantics but it is very important for many people's self worth for us to get away from such arbitrary values. Many people treat biology as if it deals with absolutes which is far from the truth.
When people talk about Japan and their customs, and what's frowned upon I usually roll my eyes because 90% of the time it's total bull-shit. In reply to the topic at hand, I wish there were more character creation options in general to be honest.
