What are you referring to? It is on Sunday night - it releases on Monday at 12am PST.

why? stats mean noting in ffxiv they don't scale so losing 1-2stats mean noting.

Also, those 'scales' surely look odd as there's no transition between skin and scale which makes it look like some 'scale accessories'. Not as apparent with white as with the dark ones.
I don't want to say it but I see a Miqo'te and a Hyur with 'scale accessories' there. Though they do have unique enough faces on their own which is nice.

And last but not least someone go cheer them up, they look all so sad... :c

It looks either like accessories, or with the right color choices, some sort of weird skin condition.
