Hmmm... I have to agree - most healers won't let you stay too low on health for too long - it might bounce the animations too much - especially tanks getting constant burst damage (Odin trial...).
Though it might be a nice aesthetic in 24-man raids, seeing people in and out of your alliance staggering about nearby or in the distance. xD

Not sure I understand the problem of the first point, I mean isn't instant changes to idle battle stance already a thing you can set up in config?

Well, imagine the stagger animation in the middle of a battle with healer(s) around - IE in a dungeon/trial/raid, at least. If, for say, the tank drops below 50% HP and they get the staggering animation, they'll stagger for a second before being healed by the healer - which drops the animation back to normal. If the tank constantly gets walloped (debuff stacks, burst damage skills from the enemy, holding a huge mob pull, etc) and constantly healed, they would be in and out of the stagger animation constantly.

If that makes any sense o_oa
Unless I'm completely misinterpreting your original post...

I think I get it, however I can transition into other animation movements a lot faster either manually or with configuration, looks goofy ninja sliding by tapping the arrow keys but otherwise no real technical issues. When a reaction occurs seems to be controllable to an extent too, given that we do not flinch on hits that occur too close together.

Just wondering what the difference would be between the two. Since the tank isn't the only one in motion.
