True, but from her body language, the fact she didn't cry out or gasp, and the speed with which it took effect, I'm pretty sure the poison was a highly concentrated paralysis poison. Nanamo asphyxiated, and without immediate medical attention that causes coma or death.

... and I'm pretty sure SE wouldn't pull that cheap a trick on us, or have it be like a shonen manga where there's dying without dying.

Well they have Somnus (whatever the spelling is) that, when overdosed, cause an eternal sleep. So basically dying without dying.

That said if I'm correct the current pattern for death is "black fade=dead, white fade=alive (not necesarilly good for the character though). If they break the pattern with Nanamo then we probably won't find out till the end of 3.0/ in the middle of the major patches afterwards.

I liked the ending. Everything was so "kid bedtime stories" themed so far that we really needed some strong turn. The only thing missing was Rains of Castamere music.

The main problem is, that we have never had any control over our character. Not in the main story before, for example telling Alphinaud, that these Crystal Braves (at least how he made them) and especially taking money from the Monetarians is a ***** stupid idea. That we simply CAN'T distrust anything or anyone. And at the end we are forced to accept the strange decision of our own character.

If there was a reason, sure.

Mistrust the Crystal Braves and tell Alphinaud? He may get defensive about it. Well, we tried, but it's his plan.
Throwing away this mysterious vial or give it someone? Well, easy for them to put you another one into your pockets. I mean, you know anyway, that they are liars and the ones involved in this murder, anyone else wouldn't even enter the private chambers of the Sultana in this way, it's obvious.
Trying to help Raubahn and kill this ****? Let Ilberd be so uber, that he can throw us out or force us to retreat.

We would have decision, but it's just not our day. We were not prepared to handle the situation. Happens. But it would at least feel better, because we tried. Now we are just cowards who let all our friends die (or captured or whatever). And we don't even care about it very much. We just go away. Uldah? Don't care. Scions? Don't care. Those murderers getting away? Don't care. - And all others don't care, too.

Eorza just has lost a very important power to fight a devastating thread like the primals, Ultima Weapon, Ascians. And while Lolo may not care, many people should.

This is the vibe i get after finishing 2.55. Having my back stabbed multiple times by potatos and other city-state leader, made me very reserved on continuing lending strength to fight threats(playing the game).
Dont get me wrong, it is an extremely effective ending to make me want to abandon those who abandoned me, and look forward to Heavensward. Actually, i havent been this excited for an expansion, and this unmotivated to play a game near expansion release.

Whether you told him the Crystal Braves were treacherous or not, I doubt Alphinaud would have listened. He admits he was kind of seeking glory, and also wasn't expecting a betrayal.

It doesn't matter whether or not you actually had the vial on you. Someone could simply say you did, and without any witnesses there's no way to disprove it. Given the extensive corruption of the Ul'dahn social, political, and likely justice systems, do you really think saying you're innocent without any witnesses to prove it will get you acquitted and the Monetarists jailed?

Sometimes you don't have control of your character; chalk it up to resource limitations and the (MMO)JRPG genre.

We had no weapon in the dining hall, most classes are 95%+ weapon dependent, the game can't assume you're of any given class while the cutscenes are playing for the first time (just that you're a DoW/DoM), and if you absolutely MUST have an explanation as to why the Scions had a few moments to talk, did you consider the possibility Raubahn was fighting off additional guards at the same time as Ilberd? We didn't flee because Ilberd was so badass we couldn't take him on; we fled because Raubahn freed us and told us to. He believes in us. He never doubted us. If nothing else, that is reason enough to fight on.

Nobody said the Warrior of Light is a coward who's stopped caring about Ul'dah, the crap that got pulled there, or what happened to Raubahn and the Scions. The reality is that there was nothing we could do to fight it at the moment - the Warrior of Light wasn't expecting any personally-aimed treachery (EVEN IF YOU WERE), trying to fight against the standing military forces in Ul'dah was suicide even if you were armed, and with the extensive corruption in general Ul'dahn society there was no way to win a trial. That doesn't mean we've forgotten or forgiven the Monetarists / Lolorito for what they've done. Nobody has. We just need time to think of a strategy to overcome them. Sometimes discretion is the better part of valor.

Their reckoning will come in due time. And when it does, vengeance will be that much sweeter.

That's all I'm going to say.

I just wanna throw this out here that during the Hildibrand quests Godbert, Gilgamesh, and WoL were outnumbered by zombies. Three people who are incredibly powerful by their own right were outnumbered by zombies. So, what is an unarmed WoL going to do with only two more people who can fight (plus, one non-combatant) against not one, but two, highly-trained and armed armies.

Another point for strength in numbers is the Ifrit arc where we with a group of eight(? or more) Immortal Flames along with WoL got overwhelmed (after being betrayed) by Amalj'aa and we were knocked unconcious. We are lucky they didn't have a THM amongst them or we would have been SoL (and look another point against "beating an enemy to get a weapon").

You just really should start to read posts you are answering to.

Otherway: Your opinion is clear, you got your story in your head and that's all you want to believe, no discussion. You don't have to write it again and again to me. I already knew this.

    @ Hildibrandt story

Don't take that so serious. It's a story for fun with a lot of slapstick. If would be not fun if we simply fight them and those few zombies we actually see would not be the point. The point would be, if this spread over the whole country and even IF we could/would kill them, this would mean we kill the population of Eorza.

We are saved by zombie gentleman Hildibrand, because that's funny.
