Arenvald - Garlean half-breed?

I just wish I had talked to them between patches and quests. I did once they moved to th Rising Stones, but it never occurred to me to resist the waking sands while leveling, to check for new dialogue. I thought they didn,t update text... So much regret.

I always take time to talk to npcs around the quest npc in RPGs, because they always have something neat to say. Like drunken Thancred trying so hard to gain a doman lady's attention, Yda trying to teach Hoary Boulder, etc. Sadly I didn't think to screenshot the earlier npcs in the old base. They had some good commentary every time you were led there.

We don't actually know if halfbreeds could get either of the traits since we haven't gotten much information about half-breeds or even garleans.

Cid himself stated that it's little known that all pure blooded Garleans have the third eye. Pretty easy to assume pure blooded doesn't include a half-garlean.

On the note of scion shenanigans, perhaps one of my faves was when there were like 4 or 5 girls all arguing over Thancred and which one of them he got with first, and others looking on like 'this is why you shouldn't do that player thing'.

In the patch before that, Thancred sent Yda to pick up a rare ore from a merchant's daughter he knew in Ul'dah, and when she saw Yda she flipped out. I think that's why Yda was laughing so hard about his comeuppance, lol.

They may get the inability to use magic however. again we know little about them as it is. I always took pure blood to just mean the actual race since just calling them garlean would confuse most people since many times those associated with the empire regardless of race are just referred to as garleans. The idea of pure bloods sounds strange, at least in the context that only pure bloods can have specific features of their race. If it is impossible for garlean features to be passed on to non pure bloods then I guess those people who thought nael was half elezen would be wrong.

There's still so much we don't know about pure-blooded garleans.

However, Arenvald does have the echo (like most of the people in waking sand) a evidenced in the dream he had about Hydaelyn which then allowed him to be recruited into the Scions.

Interestingly, I am redoing the main quest on a new character, Arenvald wasn't among the bodies...

The traitor is

Lahabrea, acting through Thancred. That mystery has already been solved.

Arenvald is still in the Waking Sands, even now. Mourning A'aba and the others but trying to carry on in their place.
