I'm kinda against the idea of crossovers, even with all the events that have already taken place. I just don't feel it belongs the way its implemented, and I don't get nostalgic because I haven't played the majority of FF games.

Haven't played other FF games but my short answer for crossovers is yes. If it brings nostalgy to FF fans and if it doesn't impact FFXIV lore much, I don't mind it.
A Kingdom Hearts crossover probably won't ever happen, for the same reason Sora can't get into Dissidia: Disney technically owns the rights to all KH original stuff, and the legal bullshit involved with allowing SE to use it in their other products isn't worth the trouble.

As a long standing Wild Arms player (it's the series I've played most chapters of, after Final Fantasy), I very well welcome crossovers!
I loved in particular how Wild Arms 5 had cameos from all previous WA chapters scattered throughout the world map that gave you side-quest lines at the end of which you would be rewarded with their original outfits! It was so amazing!
A dissidia arcade is gonna release and eventually release on PS4, a FFXIV character is going to appear there, it has a visual design alike FFXIV, we have many references already (CT, GS, Final Heaven, TT cards, Setser costume, Terra's theme, magitec in the lore, materia, minions, veteran rewards etc)
So... people, we will be getting more gear and references of past FFs, why not better have an event that justifies them instead of just appearing (like the TT cards)
I am for any and all kinds of crossovers and references to past FFs, of course I have favorites, but I wont complain if a game not on my top gets referenced (but please... can I have some/more stuff from FFV, VI and XI???)

As long as the crossovers make at least a little sense and all rewards that can be acquired from the crossover events can be acquired elsewhere in the future, I'm 100% okay with it.
I still think the Bohemian gear, Guardian Corps gear, the FFXIII weapons, the Lightning/Snow hairstyles, the Shantotto minion, the Wind-up Brickman minion, the Thug's Mug, and the King Slime hat should be added to the cash shop.
More specifically, I would like crossover events for:
Type-0 HD
FFXV
Dissidia Final Fantasy (If/when it hits the PS4)
Star Ocean 5
FFXII HD Remaster

A FFXV cross over I wouldn't mind - but I'd doubt it would happen.
FFXIV x KH..... mmmmeeh. Not really a fan of the idea of Donald/Goofy/whatever poking about in Gridania or something. But then again, I was never really a Disney nut.
Ramble-derpage you can ignore:
FFXIII/etc had a bit of fantasy element that made hopping dimensions a little more plausible (I haven't played all three, but from what I've seen... I mean, they end up being ancient 20 year olds, for pete's sake) but I can't see the guys in XV derping out and being all "woah, dafaq, we all fantasy knights'n'wizards up in here". FFXV is pretty modern in environment (dem generic white plastic lawn chairs...).
Despite that, I wouldn't mind a cross over at all. xD Only thing I got for an idea to cross over FFXV and FFXIV is Prompto messing something up (considering a.) He messed up the car in the demo, b.) it seems Noctis is a wielder of some heavier duty magics from what I interpreted from playing the demo, so maybe he interrupted something...though... was there an old summon that had anythign to do with time? o_O or of the debuffing sort...?) and sorta like Lightning, ends up in Eorzea with DeadEye as a Fate boss. But that's too similar to the Lightning event....

If they did a KH crossover, I want Sora's KH2 outfit for gear drop.

I'm all for crossovers, as long as they stick to events similar to Lightning Returns. So far there are tons of fan service from other SE games they've made, FF series specifically, but making the crossovers more tangible to the world would start to open too many holes in the world/universe. I think the closest game to touch on crossover everything was Kingdom Hearts, and even then, everything was loosely tied to the world through dreams/otherlife.
