They've also banned players for taking advantage of an immobile one in Hydra on accident. I've once heard of a party that did it once was banned in suspicions of cheating. Like NoahLimits states people have been banned on Twin and Titan. This is nothing new, you are supposed to stop attacking but no one usually listens.

Leave it in the bug forums, I say. Maybe the blow with lessen. But this is very bannable. I don't see OP being banned tho.

Also if this happened to me, being a healer I would not be DPSing ... I would run in front of her and /mdance while she slowly died. Maybe even throw in some Manderville Poses for fun as well.
I just re-queued twice and she was back to normal, so i think that was a bug. My whole party was like: "Am I lagging or something?" LOL

So you mean that if we had waited, she would be back to normal?

What if this bug happened in, say, Ramuh - where there is no way to kill yourself? You'd have to either kill Ramuh, or force a disconnect (which might not even work), since you can't leave the instance while in combat. A GM might not be able to respond within the time limit, and that's an awful lot of time wasted if it happened near the start.
Force the add phase and stop attacking. The add phase has a enrage that will kill everyone and takes very little time to happen. Next?

No, you wouldn't just wait in the instance. Easiest way to kill yourselves and leave the instance is for adds to get summoned and let them kill you. If not that, doesn't the ice wall do damage to you? You could take the slow route of slowly running into the ice wall and killing yourself. Worst case scenario, have all 8 members do a GM report and hope out get out sooner than later. It isn't ideal, but it's better than exploiting a immobile boss.

I'v just played this game since Dec so I didn't know about this. Shiva didn't spawn adds at all and everyone in my party was really surprised so I thought it's something new. Thks for the advice, I will try doing it if it happens in the future (My party would probably burn her, tho)

From my knowledge, bans usually don't happen immediately. They have to investigate to make sure it's warranted. But I'm guessing Mirakumi made a typo and said "don't" instead of "do".

It's likely that, if anything happens to you, it will be a warning. If a GM does speak to you, just let them know the situation.

my advice: if you get a boss that goes immobile halfway through a fight, kill it once and keep it off the official forums lol. if its immobile from the start id just leave cause its not like your almost done killing it anyway. the initial bans for killing immobile twintania, chimera etc were because players found a way to immobilize them.

on a side thought during the 1st couple days of syrcus tower amon would do nothing but auto attack the entire fight, not a single ban happened in any 24 person alliance from killing him.

NO. NO NO NO. Not only is that completely against the rules, but Square Enix implemented ways to detect bugged bosses and other such instanced exploits during SCoB. I don't have the post on-hand, but if certain flags are triggered (boss not attacking for a certain amount of time, boss not moving, boss in strange position, players in strange position, damage not being taken, etc), it will flag the event for review, and you can/will be banned.

This is terrible advice. So you're willing to take full responsibility for someone who gets banned by following this advice? They have tons of ways to detect if a boss becomes immobile. As far as your Amon, the fact that he was still autoattacking may have prevented flag detection from going off. The immobile bosses usually do absolutely nothing.
