It will be solved if they didn't lock out the fights. The vets can play while the new players watch the cut scene and when their done watching they can join the fight.

The reason for this is to prevent "zombie" strategies on difficult bosses. Additionally it prevents degenerate tactics like pulling a boss out of its room and say.... up a hill, with the intention of negating several of its mechanics. I'm looking at you, Dhorme Chimera.
It could set it up like other MMOs do, where the location you travel too to fight the boss basically drops you into a boss zone but if your outside of the zone you're to far away to interact with the fight.
A simpler solution would be to simply move anyone watching a cutscene to the other side of the boss gate when the cutscene begins. That way it basically circumvents all the issues people have with getting locked out of a fight should they decide to watch a cutscene while the rest of the group pulls without them.
With the exception of the first and final boss in the Praetorium, none of the cutscenes in Castrum or the Praetorium are long enough to have you completely miss out on an entire fight.
