Yup, because the level 1-30 experience of pointless and annoying fate grinding just adds so much depth and color to the game.

New jobs should be gated like the current ones are(one class at 15, one at 30, along with some main scenario content), but otherwise, level 30 is better, especially with the level cap going up to 60.

I do not support starting at level 1, by starting at level 30 we are put in a position where we have alot of skills. I do not want to start at level 1 where I only have 1-2 skills. The new jobs are blocked behind the 2.55 quest, which means every AST, DRK and MHN is a experienced player that has atleast leveled one class/job to level 50. Making us start at level 1 seems pointless right now, since the level 1-30 is more of a introduction to the game.

I mean lets review what we learn in the 1-30 level range:
    - How the controls work and basic knowledge of which skills you cast in combo. All the classes have around 1-3 skills for attacking (no stuns etc, just combo dps) in the first 25-26 levels.
    - You learn how Guildheist works, Levequests, FATES and Dungeons.
    - Introduction to the Grand Company and mounts.
    - Unlocking the Job crystals for the first time and the fact that you need to level a secondary class to unlock it.
    - With a secondary class at level 15 you learn about the cross class abilities and how having those skills can improve your main class.

At level 30 you should have more skills, you are playing the job role, dungeons starts to become harder. I reckon everyone remembers the horror stories of the final boss in Brayflox or wiping in Stone Vigil. I think the reason why the developers decided to have the Job at level 30, is because we have already learned the basics so its understandable. Now if there was a option to let the players pick their entry level either 1 or 30, then I would have liked such a option, because everyone can enjoy leveling the new jobs in their own way. But in my opinion, having it start at level 30 was a smart decision.

What would be nice though is that your first quest tells you how to use each ability ( just to try to avoid having players being clueless in dungeons, although it's not too hard to read the skills and know how to play )

So if the new jobs start at lvl 30, then what's going to happen when we try to enter a dungeon like Sastasha and get synched down to like lvl 18?

You lose access to skills when you're lvl synched below the level you learn them at, which in this case will be lvl 30 since that's the starting lvl for new jobs, so.... we get no skills when synched to lvl 29 and under? lol

Please tell me SE has announced some sort of countermeasure to this obvious flaw.

I think the skills that you get have a certain level linked to them. When I changed into a Scholar my fairy who is a pet that starts at level 30 has a healing skill that is labeld level 1. So I think while we do get the skills at level 30, they are numbered with certain levels so we have skills to use in level 15-30 dungeons.

I hope you're right! I really don't feel like bashing my face against lowbie dungeon mobs, it's very unbecoming of a WoL XD

Your "fairy" is not at level 30. The "Summon" skill is lvl 4.

The disrespect of your fellow player aside, I'd like to point out World of Warcraft: Mists of Pandaria. I'd like to see you get to Pandaria pre-85. Without glitching/using friends to summon you there. Not sure how it worked with Warlords of Draenor, since all the characters I played were 90 already by the time it came out.

Monks and pandaren didn't require you to have a lvl 80 character; infact, they started at level 1. By this time, they had everything set in regards to gaining new abilities, a new starting area, a new race with that starting area and an area exclusive to the monk class. The only thing that was required was that you have the current expansion.

I don't recall them ever mentioning that 3.0 jobs required 2.55 to be completed, only to have your account upgraded to heavensward.

WoW is totally different, to be a new class, you had to start a whole new character...
