Yeah look, I've already regarded this statement pages and pages ago before you even came to this thread, so not going to repeat myself. Clearly you're here only to insult people, just because they have an idea different than your own and that most importantly wouldn't even affect you in any way if it was implemented. Unless seeing people unable to do things you can grants you some sort of beneficial effect, in which case I am very sorry to know people like you are around. But hopefully this is not the case.

Try that on a new world with a new character with no buffs or gil and see how much fun it is. Unfortunately you have the benefit of understanding how the game is played unlike a new player.

Did that with my current character. Cant say it was hard to get geared.

It's changed again recently, but when I first started playing properly they had several tutorial agents that would walk you through aspects of the game, skilling up to destroyer, making some ammo, transporting goods, etc. as well as Aura the ships computer slapping annoying information panels on everything.
Not great, way to much reading and assumed knowledge, but not the worst tutorials in existence.

I believe it's been replaced with an 'opportunities' system that sounds slightly more fitting for a sandbox.

That sounds like they have at least attempted to close that gap for new people playing that game....I remember being so confused when I started playing Eve. Thankfully I got into a decent Corp. and they pointed me in the right direction...incidentally they pointed me to 0.0 space and I never looked back after that...

lol, that wouldn't work even if I wanted it to. Skill queues online for me at the moment, not sure if I'll ever go back. Fun per hour is a lot higher in FFXIV, I do miss the bonds that a galaxy full of competition forces you to forge though.

There was people who came to this forum, yes, to complain, and that's fine. But not to take anyone input and say its "insulting me" is another thing all together.

I do make alts. Your not the only person in the world that has friends coming into the game. That want to play the new classes so you have to tell them well, let's get you to 50 first. I've gone out of my way, to make new characters for every time a friend joins a game so they can get to 50. So please don't mock me about being courteous to others. I'm trying to look as it open-mindedly as possible.

I don't get why so many people think we're asking to skip the MSQ. Nobody is, that I've read. We want to do the MSQ, but we want the option to do it as the new jobs. It's not such an impossible concept.

It is a bit baffling, yes. After all, in what way does a newbie accessing a new Job at the same time as a veteran player (think back to ROG/NIN) affect us? I'm pretty sure most players were excited to have a new Job to play (which you can get before the finishing 2.2 story, which was when ROG/NIN was technically introduced). No one has been saying a newbie should be allowed to skip the 2.0 story. This has never been said. All that is being requested is for the Jobs to be available when a player hits level 30.

Newbies will be allowed to start the game as an Au Ra, which I feel would affect the storyline/lore more so than a newbie gaining access to new Jobs at level 30 (again, ROG/NIN comes into question).

As long we don't know, why the jobs are gated in Ishgard, there is no base to discuss it this way.
