These are jobs, not classes.
Plus, level cap increased to 60. You really think people would like that decision if they made it 1-60?

I personally would not, I need to level these 3 new jobs from 30-60
and all of the existing ones from 50-60.
Thank you SE for making the new Jobs NOT start at level 1.
I would support starting from Level 1.
i wouldve liked to start from 1.
this is the only thing im disappointed in with all the info released about heavensward.. sad i cant start my machinist from level 1![]()
You must level starter class to level 30 either before access new job and you still need cross-class actions from related class. Why you need start on lv1 when you can learn basic gameplay and do main story from starter class? You can't start these new job from character creation.
I'm glad they don't start at level 1, I'm not missing out on any gameplay as you've already done it before on previous characters, and seeing as you need to be level 30 before you can unlock the new classes, no new player will miss out either.
All in all, thank god, running through low level dungeons with barely any skills aint no fun.
I really hope the do not place these jobs at level 1. All other jobs begin at 30, so why should players be punished by having to work backwards for the new ones?
I don't support starting at lvl one. Starting at 30 let's you get right into the new content sooner and all the other jobs technically start at 30 as well.
Just throwing my thoughts out here, but it feels like this whole argument is 50/50 in favor of and against. What would have been nice (or something they could do in the future) is making it so that the NEW jobs starts at level 1, but have an option to immediately jump to 30 via a short quest or something so that everyone wins?
Unfortunately it seems too late for that now, but I must admit I would have liked to start at level 1 also.
Half the fun I have had in this game is from leveling up. It feels like SE is taking away some of that fun by making the new jobs start at 30.
Perhaps a feature like this would be something to consider in the future?
