We've never had two uncapped currencies at the same time before. I don't know why people expect it now.

Because likewise, we have never had a currency that is capped that gives gear that is either the same level or below level as an uncapped raid.

2.2 and Binding Coil of Bahamut: Mythology became uncapped, BCOB became uncapped
2.4 and Second Coil of Bahamut: Soldiery became uncapped, SCOB became uncapped
2.55 and Final Coil of Bahamut: Poetics stayed capped, FCOB became uncapped.

Logical progression. Mind you, it's not an even-numbered update, so I see why the people who don't want it uncapped say it doesn't make sense, but I think you need to recall how the uncapping of things has usualyl gone hand-in-hand, and that people are eager to work on getting full BiS.

That is true but in each of those patches they added new tomes. No new tomes in 2.55, so no Poe uncap. Don't worry though I'm sure they will uncap Poe when the expansion comes and new tomes are added.

And Poe is really easy to cap. Farming FCoB will cap you within a day. Dungeons/dailies you can cap within 2-3 days. Even as a DPS!

Well the question was moreso why we believed it would be uncapped. I'm outlying one belief as to why it was. If you act like it doesn't make sense, that was moreso what my post was intended for - not for those who can observe it both ways.

Personally, I think it would be silly to wait for 3.0 to uncap poetics. By then, we'll be able to get items much easier that are stronger than them at level 60. If that's the case, what's the point?
