I'm going to agree with adding 5 poetics for A ranks. It just makes sense to get people geared faster for the expansion. DPSs get the short end of the stick when it comes to waiting for dungeons. I know certain people hate hunts, but then again, they themselves don't have to hunt.

Depending on the time of day, day of the week and which content you are queuing up for, the diversity of the content currently available should give you the means to cap Weekly Poetics Tomestones at a decent rate.I am a fairly active dungeon crawler. I run them 10 to 15 times a week, working on a Zodiac weapon and several weapons in the pre-Zodiac progression. I consistently utilize raids for my weekly and still beyond that. I run to an S-rank hunt whenever it's called out. I even jump into BGs from time to time, but I simply do not have enough time to sit in queues every time I want a significant amount of Poetics. Furthermore, FF is a franchise which prides itself on freedom and diversity. The devs will speak often and passionately that they strive so that players will have many avenues to reach their goals.
For example: In order to cap the Poetics, you “only” need to run the Expert roulette once a day for 6 days. With 70 Poetics with each run, you’ll need 30 more Tomes to cap it for the week. If you would do the weekly Crystal Tower Quest, you will get another 45 Poetics and thus cap it for the week. (^_^ )
That on itself doesn’t sound too bad, since a lot of people still run the weekly CT Quest for the quest rewards, run WoD for the drops (since SE removed the weekly lockout) and the actual Expert Dungeon run should only take around 20 minutes to complete.
I’m not going suggest that you should log in every day and queue up for an expert Roulette in order to cap your Poetics, but since you mentioned that you are a fairly active dungeon crawler (doing 10 to 15 dungeon runs a week), you should not have any problems capping your weekly Tomestones. (^_~ )

Yeah, I agree. Whenever I get yet more soldiery tomes from hunts, I keep thinking "Why bother?" And I LOVE hunts. :/
I would wish for A ranks to drop 10 poetics and S ranks 40, but that is because I can't always run dungeons. :3

Running one expert roulette each day will insure you cap your poetics each week. It's really not that hard. I wouldn't mind seeing poetics for A hunts but I don't think that's going to happen.

If they put the primary tome back into A Ranks, then they better buff the reward you get from doing dungeons to compensate. Or they will become empty once again. I'm for poetics cap going away, simply so people can gear up and try to finish all the content they have yet to complete before xpac. It would help I think. Id be for a increase in Allied notes as well.

There hasn't been enough drama and hatred in hunts lately. We need to do something to make players rage against each other, and this would do it.
I was careful to explain why avenues such as duty roulette shouldn't be the defining factor in having an expedient poetics cap for the week, so let me rephrase it. The game isn't titled "Final Fantasy - Healers and Tanks." Both my tanks and healers' gears are behind the curve on LV50 dungeons, and while I understand Duty Roulette reward isn't exclusive to those roles, let's be honest, how often do you see AIN come up as DPS? And so your response is "Run the dungeons, get the gear, raise your item level," perhaps. Well, that seems a lot to me like healers and tank roles are being shoved down my throat. If I don't want to play a tank or healer I would like a comparable alternative.

You dont have to que over and over to cap poetic. Just do 1 EX roullete each day and you will cap it before the end of the week.
I love the official forums, they tell you to use the search for thread about what you wanted to talk but when you use it they judge for necro a thread.

I disagree with the OP in this thread, more poe in hunts will lead to longer queues for everything in DF as far as I can tell so no thanks.
