Interesting read. One can live in hope. Also, "Bad Steam!".Well, it's a little too late for Heavensward, I suppose, and probably won't happen in this year at all, but I saw the article and it immediately reminded me of this fiasco...
EU wants to end regional digital pricing, enforce Digital Single Market
...perhaps there's some hope at the end of the road, a few years from now. :/

Do you hear the players sing.

In response to a few pages back (and yes, I realize there is a quote button. :P ) ... I hope Trading Standards does keep it in mind, and unfortunately, it is probably too late for Heavensward - but they surely will get flagged up the next time they try anything like this. I forgot to mention previously, that CAB also gave me the contact details for the Equality Advisory and Support Service helpline, as they deal with well, human rights breaches and discrimination in general. It's just a helpline though, and they don't really provide any legal advice (for those wishing to seek proceedings against Square Enix over this)... but, if you want to contact them regardless and see if they can further press the issue, go here;

(or phone them on: 0808 800 0082)
Every so often I come back to this thread, I am amazed that although the momentum is a fraction of it's former self, it still exists.
I have said this time and time again on the matter, and it is the part that annoys me the most about this entire situation. This question, this one question about price has been bombarded at SE on Facebook, Twitter, Tumblr, and their own forums.
I couldn't care if they blame the taxes, I couldn't care if they blame availability, or economics, or even if they jump into a pool of notes and claim they just want it deeper, I couldn't really care. What I DO care about is their LACK of a reason, their LACK of a response. This is a question that the playerbase OBVIOUSLY cares about, but not a single person responsible at SE wants to even grace us with a reason.
As I said previously, at this point I don't care what the reason is, just that they care enough about their playerbase to actually answer us..
25 days had past, still waiting for reply from SE
Money is the only leverage you have on Square Enix.
If all players from UK don't buy the game, be sure that they will suddenly hear you.
Plus, we are talking about a collector eddition, i'm not even sure they will lower the price if it doesn't sell good in UK, as far as you buy the normal eddition.
Have to say I'm amazed to see this thread still going. Fingers crossed it'll still be hovering on the first page of the forums when 3.0 launches. Maybe then they'll deign to give us a response...
umm, sorry to barge in but I dont wanna create another topic
I happen to play on UK version, and subscribed to it since 2011 (though I'm not from UK). just wanna know, where do you guys PO the expansion? all kind (digital/physical/collector) of version
thanks
SE store only atm
I believe Amazon does have a listing for the standard edition of Heavensward but no idea if they're supporting the pre-order bonuses and all that.
