I am getting really tired of the RMTs, I shouldn't have to set myself on /busy to avoid them in an MMO! I can barely talk to my friends now if there not in any LS I use.. They really need to fix this. Heck, they even use shouts now!

Can't Square Enix Sue the goldsellers directly and make sure that the sites the goldsellers use are taken down by force?
I even wonder if it's possible to sue the gilspam whisperers for harassment in a class action lawsuit and let them pay us for all damage done.

One of the RMT's have started going back to Yell's. /busy doesn't block that.

Now I'm getting a large number of friend requests from gil sellers again. Tons of new sites show up every week, because it's a fertile ground. Zero action taken by the parent company to actively combat the massive number of bots. New spams taking on horrifically annoying tells, the shouts, which I've seen in Limsa. 40 pages of suggestions, complaints, and yet 0 responses from Devs, Yoshi, anyone at SE, like we don't exist.
And since the STF is only three people (read the credits), it's a matter of Copyright/Legal, because the level of disruption (not only on /busy, but now they are using shouts and shoutspams!) is becoming a huge inconvenience
It's no different than counterfeit FF merchandise. Now you've got at least 6-8 sites going, and it's really making it a hassle for non-RMT players to play the game and properly communicate with each other.
If the STF is too overwhelmed, bring in Legal.

I just started playing and I had to disable tells completely.
They need to make it a "whitelist" and no on can send anyone a tell that hasn't whitelisted them.

Indeed. I just returned from a long break only to see the RMT spam has become worse. On top of that they spam us with friend invites to no end. We need options like the WhiteList listed above, an option to disable friend invitations and so on. This has been going on for far too long.

I created characters on two different servers yesterday (for other reasons) and what I DID notice is that the RMT sites being advertised are different. (And the prices, but I think that is more reflective of how fast they can create new bots on the servers.)Indeed. I just returned from a long break only to see the RMT spam has become worse.
