Please start the new jobs at level 1

New Jobs are based around Ishgard there is no reason for it to be available outside it in ARR. You are a blank slate and have no idea of the world around you. It makes perfect sense for you to wait.

Because it's an MMO game? Not even FFXI gated new Jobs behind plot. If you wanted to be a DNC before finishing the first main scenario (Shadowlord), then you could. All you needed to do was be level 30, start the quest, activate a cavernous maw and you were set (Wings of the Goddess is of course a requirement as well).

I'd prefer starting at 15, myself, just enough to start doing dungeons. But 30 is better than 40 or even 50.

Sad if they locked new jobs behind that much storyline. I wanted to do the old storyline as a new job because there is no job I currently enjoy. At all. I think this is a deal breaker for me, and for what reason? I would love to hear a good argument as to why I should not be able to play one of the new jobs from the start of the story if that is what I want. I mean sorry, but people will be all around me on the new jobs, if someone helps me in the storyline tada they might be the new job. I already know they all exist so there is no spoiler. All it does it force me to go through a really long part of the storyline that I COULD have enjoyed immensly, in a way that I don't want to do and won't enjoy. Like I said, maybe if this was a single player game it would make some sense (lore-wise not anything else), but it isn't so it doesn't. Not to mention even IF it was a good decision for lore reasons, lore reasons is NEVER ever a good enough reason to worsen actual gameplay.

Does it matter what I think? Not at all, SE will do whatever they want to do, I am not under any illusions, but since i am affected I will still give my opinion.
