Yes, as far as I understood. The new Job Masters/Trainers will be located in Ishgard, and to enter Ishgard you need to complete the Main Story quests up until 2.55 (Before the Dawn, I think the final quest was called?).
That sucks...I have yet to do and I would loved to do 2.0 as a new job. New players want to play as the new job ASAP..... i hope they change this ..allow us certain access to IShgard to get these jobs b4 ALL of main story is completed.

You want to play the new content without even experiencing the game? Seriously...? >.>

I'm sooo glad I've kept the tank & DoW pieces from level 30 and up. :3
I've got a bit of a gap from the Sasta/TTD/CBM set to the Brayflox set, so vendor gear will have to suffice for all of the 2 levels until I can equip it.
Unlike other games the jobs are gated behind a city, a city that doesnt allow you to enter untill a certain events happens. If the ending of 2.55 did not happen as it did, I would have agreed with those that wanted to play as the new jobs, but right now think SE is correct in keeping the jobs gated behind. I have a feeling that the new jobes will be linked to certain events that has already happend, events that newcomers wont have experienced, unless they finished the 2.55 quest.
@AzrealX, I understand that you want to play as the new jobs in 2.55, but SE have already decided what they are going to do. I reckon it would be best to finish the main story quests and play the new classes the moment Heavensward launches. I wanted to wait untill the expansion hits and finish the 2.55 as a Au Ra Dark Knight, but seeing how the jobs are gated, I decided that waiting would not yield anything for me and I finished the main story quest.

New Jobs are based around Ishgard there is no reason for it to be available outside it in ARR. You are a blank slate and have no idea of the world around you. It makes perfect sense for you to wait.
If you can't respect lore - why are you playing a Final Fantasy game?

So it's completely set in stone new jobs till begin at 30?
YAY!
Leveling up jobs is one of my favorite things in this game. It's a big letdown that we're losing out on levels 1-30, though not unexpected considering previous interviews.
