Okay. For the people saying stuff about PVP skills. You don't HAVE to use them. They -HELP- but they are not necessary by any means. The combat style for this game works just fine, you just need to know how to work it really. I mean, can you hit something you can't see(LoS)? Wouldn't make much sense. And yes, the GC restriction is stupid. That's the biggest flaw that they really need to abolish.

    1) Less Cue (I'm tank, tank >2 mins for me is not acceptable )
    2) No GC restriction (my friends are scatterend around GC's)
    3) More incentive like more tokens, reduced wolf mark to buy prizes, chance to drop item after a victory, gil, exculive materials for crafting PvP / PvE items
    4) Stop level sync, please
    5) Unique condition to PvP items, like +10 aoe cures or 10 to damage something to mix up equips and groups
    6) Better matchmaking, melee / ranged cues are ridiculous

PvP queue's are not based on your class. Everyone's queue is equally long.
Having a GC restriction and unequal spread of players through GC's is what causes the real queue issue.

I just wished Frontlines was more like Guild Wars 2's World Vs World. That not only has your Player V Player V Monster combat, but also bases and camps to hold and maintain. The landscape of the combat is ever changing, and players can dip in and out competing for their server dominion over the realm. While FFXIV might not work well with the persistent world, I certainly think a lot of the mechanics would be well received.

Add bases which are defensible, with gates which need to be destroyed. Magitek mounts or similar devices could be used to help breach the gates and take over bases. Heck, we could even have missions to escort scholars to relic sites. When you add PvP to an MMO you need to dress it up to make it more attractive. It needs to be fun first and foremost. The rewards are inconsequential if the content is enjoyable.

The only way I see myself PVPing in this game is if they added something equal to or better than GW2's WVW, which will likely never happen. That said, I think its probably in SE's best interest not to focus on PVP for a number of reasons:

    1. PVP attracts toxic players: It attracts attention seeking players who must prove themselves superior to others. Highest posted thread in PVP forum is "Best Players" which speaks for itself. I firmly believe the reason FFXIV has such an incredible community is because of its lack of PVP content/emphasis on PVP participation. I have had very very few negative interactions with other players in this game.

    2. Sacrificing Resources & Market Saturation: Literally every game I have played recently has attempted to add PVP as a core feature. This always ends up falling short because it requires a huge amount of resources to implement & the PVE content suffers as a result.

    3. Balance: Trying to balance PVP in any game is a endless unwinnable battle. No matter what measures the developers take, a % of the playerbase will scream for nerfs/buffs to (x) class, which in many cases usually results in a performance loss/gain in PVE setting as well disrupting the balance.

The thread best players is toxic? It is purely asking who do you feel is the most valuable player, this doesn't that said person is a loud mouth if anything I rarely see any bad comments while pvping
Where as in all pve content its rife, ct St wod coil speed runs etc etc

If a player takes command with strat and leads their team to victory, switches to the job role needed no questions asked and performs the job iimpressively this is toxic?

I literally want to stop you right here. Did we honestly just toss aside the many harassment issues with Parsers when it came to PVE? I mean, seriously. Elitism is much more common in PVE than it is PVP. Mind you, you may have not see the negativity where you are, but that does not mean it doesn't exist.

And the reverse has happened. I don't understand why you would add a mode to a game and then neglect it completely. Because the focus of PVE, PVP has suffered greatly. Why can they not find a balance of them both? I understand it takes time and effort. We're not asking for the greatest PVP mode in the world. Just that it actually get some updates that that community has long been asking for. It's literally the Summoner of PVP.

The concept applies to PVE as well. Black Mages got buffs, but it's not what people wanted. Monk got buffs, but it's not what they wanted. Summoner got buffs, and it wasn't what they wanted. DRG got buffs, godly buffs. They're happy. Ninja got nerfed just because people excelled. These nerfs/buffs had nothing to do with PVP at all. Instead it was the PVE counterpart.

It's what they teach in school these days.. Nobody's a loser, everybody wins. Everybody gets trophies for participating.

    1. Healing power should reduce down to healing support and not heal tanking
    2. Lower queue
    3. Remove sprint when under attack or not be able sprint when under attack

Just the 3 above are enough to motivate me to pvp again, the below are the kind of thing I would like to add

    4. Restrict pvp action: instead of let player use all pve skill together with pvp skill, reduce that down to 7-10 skills
    5. Throw in castle, fortress & siege weapon
    6. Server vs Server or something more massive
