I felt like they finally struck gold with Stone Vigil HM final boss.

However that kind of telegraphing and randomness hasn't happened since. I find this sad because something like that would make a great EX Trial or coil-like boss.
I think the community's response to that boss was very warm but at this point it doesn't seem like it's the direction they want to take.

Personally I especially liked the fact that the graphics and animations told the player what's happening instead of just slapping a red square on the ground to avoid. It finally gave me a reason to take my eyes away from the 20 hud bars and gauges.

Seeds of the River in T11 would like to make your acquaintance. Couple that with the RNG of tethers and you don't have your average raid mechanic.

I sure do hope Heavansward has fights like that. Current fights are dull.
