You can do t9 without memorizing it, all you need is to know how the mechanics work. Take titan for instance, its a set pattern, but i never memorized it, i just knew how to act for each mechanic. its not hard... dodge this, pop a cd for that, move here, kill that.

This exactly. In titan, all I know is that when he turns to mark people for jails, that's when I throw my cover on mt. Completely negate the tank swap and take the mountain buster and the debuff. Just in case someone says something, I have solo-tanked titan before, although it's not free.

T9 is a terrible fight and I hope future fights don't follow the same pattern.

The whole thing literally puts me to sleep.

It gets better though, trust me. T10 through T13 are all very fun.

If it's "Literally" putting you asleep then you aren't even playing. It's figuratively putting you asleep.

When people want to be taken seriously it tends to be a good idea to avoid obvious hyperbole.

Seriously though. This is how these type of MMOs function. Why is anyone here even surprised. It's like you bought an orange and are all pissed off it's not an apple. You got exactly what you paid for.

Ugh... Why don't people intelligently think through things before posting things like this. What do you want? A completely unpredictable boss battle on the difficulty setting of coil? It would be unbeatable. Like, its not even a "well, if you are skilled and can react fast blahdy blah blah" no. It is simply unbeatable, no one would ever beat it if they can not strategize because they can't know what is coming. In every MMO. Every. Single. One. Bosses go on a pattern and by phases, so... welcome to MMOs I guess. I am assuming this is your first one.

If an MMO was to use completely random boss attack patterns each time, each attack would need to have a very long cast time so people could actually place themselves or whatever they have to do to react to it, which would just make the fight boring and dumb.

The OP seemed to be made without understanding how games work at all. So, its just a no.

P4 of T9 would be more your speed then, and T10, heck even T11. Most of those involve having mechanics thrown at you and picking at random who gets them. Elements might be the worst example because of Fire In Fire Out patterns. But it's honestly more about reacting to the situation and not getting dived.
