If any current mount should be able to fly, it should be the fat chocobo. Just lift the dangling greens higher until it starts flying. After all, not even the laws of nature can slow it down in that case.![]()

Chocobos are built like ostriches and shouldn't be capable of flight, yet they will be in Heavensward. I don't see why the same wouldn't be possible for the resonator.I doubt that existing mounts will fly in Heavensward, it would take away from the value of the new mounts in 3.0 to have any 2.0 mounts able to fly.
Also, IIRC they clarified the resonator's 'flight' capability suggesting that it uses it's legs to hop/jump and flappy wings to stay aloft, but cannot attain any altitude because it's more of a 'puddle jumper' rather than a soaring flier.
We need flying pig mounts, thank you!
Please look forward to it!
I think they should allow this as a flying mount and it can carry two people.

CE people get a free one just for buying it. We get a black chocobo just for unlocking the ability to use flying mounts.
As evidenced by the fact that I had two mounts in my queue before i even got the ability to ride them, SE doesn't place value on the mounts themselves, just the ability.
They're just skins, after all.
In Haukke Manor that floating eye doesn't fly very high, he would be like a moogle not flying much above the ground. Like with the Bomb Palanquin they can't get the altitude.
Ahriman can fly pretty high you know, being able to fly on the ahriman mount would actually be an amazing throwback to FF4.

I was going on about seeing him in Haukke Manor, from that he doesn't look like he'll be able to take us to the heights he needs to take usAhriman can fly pretty high you know, being able to fly on the ahriman mount would actually be an amazing throwback to FF4.

You quoted me pretty fast, that was more for everyone in the topic though.
Not just regular chocobos there is a high chance we are getting a Fat chocobo flying mount, reference the past interviews with Yoshi-P.
The fact that we will be able to fly on a fat chocobo kind of throws everyone's Ahriman's flight restrictions speculations out the window, anything is possible!
Even Gizamaluke!!!
(Taken from the Benchmark, I hope its Gizamaluke!)
To add to my point:
The Ahriman's second appearance was in Final Fantasy 4. In FF4 they fought Cecil on airships above the clouds (The Red Wings)

I don't know if the flying fat chocobo will be a thing

. There might be a different ahriman for a flying mount to, like the ahriman boss in WoD. They might make a different breed for the flying mount much like the black chocobo is a different breed to the regular chocobo ^^.
