If we assume she doesn't just mean "simple for Sharlayan scholars," then we have our reason. Had we teleported in the middle of the chase, they would have known where we went.Originally Posted by Minfilia

Ordinarily, it would be a simple matter to tap into the established Aethernet and thereby follow our quarry. However, despite our best efforts, we have been unable to ascertain the position of the aetheryte to which she teleported.
Good point, one I didn't think of. Still leaves some holes, though, as we can teleport to any city we please right after...
Yeah, the only way I can make sense of any of it is if, after we leave, they call off the search. Not in the "You're free to go" sense; but in the sense of "We don't have resources for this. If we get a report or if our investigation turns something up we'll act on it but not until then."
I think this fits with how NPCs react. (SPOILER) "Oh I'd totally report you like I'm ordered... but... I'm not supposed to cause conflict in Mor Dhona." "Oh uh, I won't tell anyone I saw you but you best move along." etc etc xDYeah, the only way I can make sense of any of it is if, after we leave, they call off the search. Well, in any case, I enjoyed the cutscenes just like I liked LotR despite the Eagle thing.
