
You realize they could simply warn the players before the point where you're locked out right? A simple "Once you complete this objective, you will not be able to return to Ul'Dah" should suffice.Locking you out of Ul"Dah until the story can be resolved in Heavensward is a terrible idea. You would be unable to access a ton of areas: Hall of Flames, Goldsmiths' Guild, Weavers' Guild, Miners' Guild, Gladiators' Guild, Thaumaturges' Guild, Pugilists' Guild. You'd be completely unable to finish the Hildibrand quest line as well as some of the Postmoogle quests. With a three month content drought ahead of us, it wouldn't make sense for them to lock players out of things that will help them pass the time until the Heavensward release.
