For gods sake stop talking about how fighting would make things worse. The scions are fighting. did you forget that when you were accused of killing the sultana they were automatically accused too of being accessories in the crime? If the scions are fighting you fought. you are the scions and the scions are you. As for the analogy of countries and assassination. that was a terrible analogy. Eorzea is one country. with city states that work really close together.

The Sultana doesn't rule the Gridania's. Kan-E-Senna (SP) does. She leads her own people, Mewlbyrn (More sp) leads her own, and Nanamo/Rauhbahn....(Yeah I'm bad with names) leads their own. Even though it's one country, they still all look after their own people in their own states. They can't be meddling into another cities-states affairs. They may, who knows? Gotta wait til' 3.0. Doing that would make Ul'dah turn around and aim both of them. See? Now all the City States are in a big ass mess.

As for the "We are the Scions, and the Scions are you." ... We're a much greater thing than the Scion's. We do way more than the Scion's ever do. We are the Scions for all I know, just us because all they do is open gateways to fight battles and they are no where to be found otherwise then as we return we get another "I can always count on you." from Minfilia eeeevery single time. It's about time they actually did something for us, and put their lives in danger, FOR US, as we've done for them and others plenty of time. I've gained more respect for them than I ever had.

It's very obvious you dislike the path chosen. I'd like more options too, even like...a word option just for a different NPC text but I'm alright with how this went down.
Nothing you can do for now. Maybe we'll get more of a choice later down the road.
