I still don't understand the "i don't like them so they must die" mentality.
She understood she was weak, and could no nothing without the monetarists getting in her way. That's why she decided to the one thing she could, and disband the monarchy altogether.
And whatever dialogue choices we DO get only results in a slightly different response from the NPC while the story proceeds as normal. Even towards the end of 2.0 where you encounter Gauis on the elevator, he has the same response no matter what reply you give him. It's a waste of time, really. As opposed to making your character overly passive?
There's no decision making/dialogue choices in the game, no opportunities to put any of your personality onto your character. Your Warrior of Light acts exactly like my Warrior of Light who acts exactly like everyone else's Warrior of Light. If SE really wants your character to feel like you then they need to (at least occasionally) take the SWTOR approach and let you actually react to what's happening. As it is, you can't even imagine what your character is saying because other characters always react as if you said something specific anyway.
I never said she must die. Just pointing out I didn't like her and was glad to be rid of her character. Though I think I'm a little sadistic because when it comes to death scenes in games/movies, I'm only affected by the ones I care about and just find the others hilarious.
If she didn't did and just faded into obscurity, never to be heard from again, I'd still be happy
It's a MMO, I'm not expecting drastically different outcomes with every choice you make. But I don't agree that merely making your character silent and passive makes them "you". IF SE is really trying to make the WoL feel like an extension of the player then it'd be nice to have at least a few chances to react to things. Otherwise just give them a voice and a personality and call it a day.And whatever dialogue choices we DO get only results in a slightly different response from the NPC while the story proceeds as normal. Based what I seen as the game progressed, I don't feel like the WOL is "us", but rather our "image/avatar" for a pre existing character. Kind of like Saints Row.
That's how it seems to me, too. And in that case, I'd prefer it if SE just followed Saint's Row, Guild Wars 2 and SWTOR's lead and gave our character a voice and personality so we can do more during cutscenes than just stand there.

I'm honestly still baffled as to why it is so difficult for the many people in this thread to understand the ramifications of their actions had they fought back or taken out some of the Monetarists themselves. Anyone could figure out that this was a losing battle from the start, the reach of the syndicate extends beyond the two people in that room and if the other GC leaders has been present to see you battle your way out of the palace as the guards were chasing you for assassinating the Sultana, well it's not a good look. You won't be much of a hero if the general consensus starts to be that you are a murderer.

Defeating him does show that the WoL is still pretty strong without the power of light, I'll give you that. However, that was it. We defeated the Ascian. That is all. We did not kill him. We tried to using Moenbryda's plan, but there was not enough Aether to kill the Ascian. Moenbryda sacrificed herself to boost the power of that 'Sword of Light' and in the process, we were able to kill the Ascian. Without Moenbryda's research, we wouldn't have been able to kill that Ascian.
Thus, we can conclude that the WoL can be compared to Minfilia in terms of powers, but in terms of strength - we're probably just stronger than a lot of people.

If she were a real person, I would feel bad.
But she's not. She's a video game character. I'm allowed to laugh because I can make the distinction between Reality and Fiction. Can you? Perhaps you need some help if you're starting to mix your Fiction in so much that you can't tell the different. Y'might give some good cannon fodder to those that say GTA make people violent.![]()
im preety sure thers an achievement on how many enemys you struck down. i honestly fail to see how those few brass blades/ crystal braves make you look different if you would have killed them (in comparison to the hundred thousand beastmen, traitors, garleans and whatever else you allready killed)
