    Lootmaster system doesn't fix the problem with raid gear.

    The “lootmaster” system will allow the party’s master to distribute lottable items. For example, before entering content you’ll be able to establish item lotting rights in chat, so please be sure to put this to use. Additionally, we’ll be making it possible to do a single take-back on items you accidentally needed or greeded on.

    So is there more to the new loot system or is this it? Basically the Party leader can be in charge of who gets what, and if you screw up and win something you didn't want you can discard/trade it for another chance?

    Never Mind They decided to add "Additionally, unlike the Coil of Bahamut, players will be able to re-enter a floor in Alexander even if you have cleared it (similar to the Crystal Tower). You will be able to challenge it as many times as you wish until you obtain the item that you want. Also, even if you Need on an item, you will still be able to help others with the progression of Alexander." under some Direct X11 info, They should have added that part to the loot post. Sorry.

    Read the Live Letter more.

    They confirmed Primals will be switching to a tokens based system and Alexandar will too (though slightly different to the primals loot system).

    I'm generally never a fan of these lootmaster rules and I don't think it will fix anything. It generally leads to greed and loot councils which i hate with a passion personally.

    if you had kept reading the thread you would have seen it said that we could keep doing a turn until we got a piece of gear. and even then you could still enter to help friends with progression.

    i can see the lootmaster leading to players ninja looting and loot locking more then it will help people and it more of a raid thing for people using a dkp system. personally ive never liked master loot systems as it can do more harm then good if put in the wrong hands

    right. im responding to the "gear we actually need cuz drop rate is horrendous to my group" portion. this seems to fix it a tad bit. but some unfortunate people may need to run it a billion times before it drops lol

    i could only see this really being a problem for pugs. i have a raid group and cant imagine this being a problem anyway because we sorta figure who gets which drop first anyway like most groups i'd imagine. but i can definitely foresee this being a big issue with greedy pugs and all that jazz

    I'm glad they did it right for this raid. I haven't raid since T6 came out, I went those last 3 months before T6 without seeing a MNK piece drop, So I feel your pain.

    It's just an option though according to the translation. You don't need to join a party that has it enabled anyway. Options are nice.
