First phase of T13 can be totally tanked in Sword Oath. So I don't know ANY fight where there is no opportunity to Oath swap. =P

That goes back to what I said about you either being in SwO or ShO, you rarely swap constantly in a rotation which is what some people are trying to say PLDs should do more often.

Sigh ... That is not what I was saying, I even reiterated that multiple times in response to others as well as directly to you. I stated that Oath swapping is a good thing and should happen when done intelligently and at appropriate times, not just bouncing around between Oaths just because, which is what you seem to keep interpreting what I say as.
Constant swapping, no not at all. Swapping during specific situations in specific fights, such as lulls or spikes in incoming damage, then yes.
If you can stay in SwO for an entire fight, then great do that. However that is not always the case due to things like healers not being able to keep up or dps being bad at managing their own agro generation. However it is often the case, at least IMO where I don't need to be in ShO all the time and so I may just drop ShO or swap to SwO depending on the situation in the fight, how the healer is doing and what I have available for cooldowns. As soon as I notice that they healer is falling behind on keeping my HP up, ShO is back on.
So its not just a constant back and forth just to Oath swap, it is appraising situations on the fly and adjusting to try to maximize my contribution to the fight. If I know a fight well, I can plan swaps accordingly and already be prepared.

And again I will say the initial post was intended mainly for the many players that I see that just sit in ShO all the time and pretty much just Halone combo spam and to bring to their attention the existence of Oath swapping and ways that it can be used, not so much for those that are already familiar with it and have decided when and how they want to use it.

And I guess the majority of the people don't feel like this makes Paladin anymore engaging. I have swapped on specific fights like you mention but it is still the same 1,2,3 CoS, SW, with the occasional shield swipe when agro is enough.

On that note about being aware in dungeons, this should be the case for every class in the game, the only reason you wouldn't be aware of your surroundings while playing another class is because you just aren't used to the abilities they have and where they come into fights. Once you play them enough it should be practically second nature.

My issue is PLDs seemingly large amount of utility is too situational for fights that it needs to actually be designed for those mechanics. Compared to WAR PLD has bad design, all of warriors skills have good uses with holmgang being debatable, PLD has 4 abilities that are too situational to even matter that most players forget they exist.

I'm not saying these abilities should be changed, it's fine for what we've done so far I just hope Heavensward will add something to spice up PLDs game play.

I'm definitely looking forward to what the expansion will bring. ^^
