Correct, I forgot about that ! And while rewatching the cutscene, I noticed something he says :
Desperate for salvation, the dragons prayed t one of the first brood - their ancestor Bahamut.
It pretty much puts Bahamut amongst one of the 7th.

I'm really not well-versed in lore, but could Svara be one of the big wyrms mentioned as being on Eorzea?

You would need to count Isgebind as well in this case

Considering that Safat is bigger than both Svara and Isgebind, and is still smaller than the dragon seen in the Battle of Ishgard preview in the trailer, who has both of his eyes and is therefor not Nidhogg, who is very likely the other of the to Great Wyrms of Eorzea, I'd have to say no, Safat, Svara, and Isgebind are not Great Wyrms, but just normal wyrms. They could be lower Dragon Lords, but nowhere near the size or power of one of the Dragon Kings.

Keep in mind that there is usually a very distinct line drawn between dragons and wyrms as well. Dragons are usually denoted by the characteristics of the boss in AK. Wyrms are more akin to the kind seen in Coerthas.

The Triple Triad cards pretty much indicate that Isgebind is classified as a Blue Dragon. Therefore, we can conclude Aiatar, Safat, and that one annoying dragon in the Steps of Fate is a Green Dragon. Svara would therefore be a Yellow Dragon. This also means that Syrcus Tower technically gave them generic names despite the allusion to FF3.

I just hope we'll be seeing the classic Wind Drakes from FF2 & FF5 in Heavensward.

Uh no We've been able to sense them since well before that. There are many times in the 1-50 content that we sense Lahabrea but he books it before we see him later on we end up seeing him. We are also able to follow Elidbus from Vesper Bay north without others seeing him.

Well Bahamut is one of Midgardsormr's children. The others are Azdaja, Nidhogg, Hraesvelgr, Tiamat, Ratatoskr and Vrtra. I just don't know in which order they were all born. I'm curious about that. I believe age equals power in the dragon world. I think Bahamut was the oldest, which exlains why he's the biggest. Hraesvelgr and Nidhogg resemble each other a lot, maybe twins. I don't know in which order the rest should be placed.
