Sorry, this is where I am completely in disagreement. I believe that people who are rude need to be shown that being rude will get you slapped and after enough slaps they will start to catch on that it isn't helping them at all. Typically ignoring rude people entitles and empowers them more and in duty finder situations I've seen rude people completely control the party because no one was saying anything back to the person. I've seen innocent people kicked from parties cuz people were 'following' the rude person because no one bothered to challenge this guy's behavior.

Someone has to stand up to them and show them that they can't just bully everyone into submission and if that makes me 'rude' too then so be it because at least I'm trying to deal with these people.

Whatever floats you boat at the end of the day. It's not a huge deal how people interact on the internet. I'm just saying that I personally prefer taking a turn-the-other-cheek approach. That's the way that works for me. I get along pretty well with both "casuals" and "elites" (though, really, the super-abstract stereotypes of both those parties are extremely rare; most players are somewhere in between). If at times I expressed sentiments that were viewed as being more extreme than that then I apologize for poorly expressing myself.

1 of the reasons i had a rant n posted this is cause sadly its happening more n more often ive played since closed beta n back then you would rarely n i mean rarely see any1 treated like that,,, one of the major selling points to play the game for me back then was the great community just lately alot more bad eggs have started to appear thinking they have a right to treat ppl like crap just cause they can

Honestly, after the first instance of abuse, I usually hide my chat box and blissfully ignore everyone. Sometimes results in me being kicked because I wasn't responding to someone's rage. That's a win-win for me.

I used to get upset at people like this but now I picture 600 pound man blobs sitting in a dusty dirty basement playing on their windows XP machine half naked and unshowered in weeks shouting at their monitor in barely coherent whiny voices, "COME ON!!! OH MY GOD WTF???? WOW OMG OMG".

Suddenly it's amusing to me and I can actually laugh very very hard at these people.
