Using an Off GCD ability on your last fire spell forces the game to register if you have a firestarter proc immediately. Don't insult others if you don't know what they are talking about.

Fire 3 > Fire 1 > Fire 1 > Fire 1 > Fire 1 > Fire 1 > Lethargy as Fire 1 is finishing, clipping the cast time > Tap Fire 3 > You use a Firestarter the instant the Fire 1 is cast.

Okay, didn't know about forcing firstarter proc by doing that... I always look at the flying text coming up about fire procs, and that comes up faster then it shows on the ability button for me at least. Thought it would be the exact same just to wait for the fire proc rather than use lethargy. Sorry.

You do lose some time if it doesn't proc, so how much more DPS are we talking about if this increases DPS?

I'm not too positive–I know that hte BLM thread has talk on it. It's only a 40% chance of being a DPS+, and if it doesn't proc, then it is a DPS loss...
I ALWAYS fireweave the final fire from the opening rotation, and then about halfway through the raging cooldown/
