After I read all the 13 pages, all I can describe is this game will getting nowhere after Heavensward if issue like this still exist.
I think many new comer will leave this game after few month of playing if they have worst experience like this, and this is sad.

And I think it supports new people being treated well, but only if they treat others well in return.

If it was not SE's intent for people to use the DF for their main story completion, they would not direct people to use the DF to complete said mission in the first place.

People are just impatient nobs. If you want a speed run, put up a listing on PF.

my post said it all its to get people to do it mainly to help the people who haven't done it yet that's what it's for in DF as duty roulette but that didn't mean that if we do the roulette we should have to sit and wait for people to just finish watching a Cs.

And that's what people do it for duty roulette only after they did it no point in building a pre made for 20 tomestones when we can poosably get 200 from a duty roulette but that didn't mean people are going to sit and wait for 15 min for cs to finish.

The roulette is there to make sure that even if a playerbase is high level, they still will be helping new players get through content that they can't complete on their own. It isn't a tool for you to get tomestones from, those are incentives so that you queue up so people can get through the story.

No, I'm saying that's the design. You should expect that you're gonna get first timers on the roulette, cause that's a big reason they made it. Before that, new people were reliant on good natured souls to go through and queue up dungeons that they knew were for story quests just to help people out. I remember, because I used to do exactly that. The roulette is a gameplay tool to allow people to experience content, encouraged by boosts to XP, gil, and giving you tomestones. It's why there's an additional reward for the class that's most in need.

That's not the reason I use the duty finder, I use it to just get a group to get the dungeon done.

That part, I do agree. Whenever I'm in a duty finder dungeon, I already expect to carry some extra weight.. But what I'm not willing to do is bend over backwards to accommodate somebody's needs when they aren't exactly behaving very pleasantly. Why do you think the OP tried to play the card as the innocent by stander instead of just owning up to it saying that he was indeed the one arguing with the rest of the group the whole time.. If OP had the social maturity and the wits about to ask people beforehand (tbh, asking if you can watch a cut scene is also pretty f'ing ridiculous, if you wanna watch it, watch it! just don't expect people to stay behind and wait for you) I don't think he would've found it necessary to fabricate a story.

That's the part you're not understanding.. People don't FORCE others to skip cut scenes, we can't! short of verbal abuse and ain't nobody got time for that. So most people just go on ahead. Wanna experience the fight mechanics too? Well, just queue up once more and the second time around, you can skip cut scenes and be a part of the fight. Want to watch the cut scene AND experience the fight in one run? Well, you're gonna need an ad hoc group for that.. Get a group together or ask your FC for help. It's not impossible to do. I have a friend that's exactly like that and we get our own groups together to get him through content. Just don't expect complete strangers to bend over backwards to cater to your own specific needs. If you find a party of good natures souls to help you? Good for you, just don't expect that to be the norm.. Other players are people too, their World centers around them, not you.
