So because I have not played every title in the FF franchise, nor do I care to follow the XIV story which only accounts for a fraction of the game, I have no right to comment? Your logic is amazing.
While more cash shop options are fine, I'd rather them not go overboard and make it feel too...lazy? I'm not sure if that it the word I am looking for, but you know what I mean. I want a bit of creativity and uniqueness that makes FFXIV stand out on its own, while the nostalgic elements are nice, I'd rather not see everyone and their mother (so to speak) running around with Buster Swords and Squall Jackets. Not to mention the prices on the shop currently are not very persuasive. If they cut the price for the items by 50% and leave it that way then I think I'd be more inclined to back this suggestion, but until then, no thanks.
No, sorry.. While I enjoy a reference on occasion, I don't want the game to become JUST that. "Hay guys.. this is a FINUL FANTASEE GAME HUR HUR!"
Why would they put all that shit in the cash shop when they could just make them achievement/event rewards or dungeon drops? You can actually play the game for items, you know. You don't have to play your credit card.
If you don't want to actually play the game and just want to spend a bunch of money to play dress up I recommend buying clothes in real life.
OP why should our subscriptions go towards funding the development of cosmetics that they can charge us a second time for? Surely you would prefer they find the time to simply develop and add such things with regular updates? Or are you one of those types that actively seeks ways to spend more money than necessary?
Why don't you just play F2P if you want cash shop?
are you out of your f*** mind.
this is not F2P mmo.....why not ask for it but FREE in game event ect.
Right? People apparently love being crappy cosplayers though, judging by how many people sport Lightning's stupid-looking hairstyle or Snow's "jobless tool" look.
The elder scrolls online had to do it because of the ultimate failure it was they most likely added it when they went over the books and looked at the feed back of the beta and knew it was the only way they were going to break even. Micro transactions to pay to win do not belong here. They must embrace it, I for one welcome our mog station overlords for any item we want in game.
Edit: Cause we all know, they can't add everything based off as a event or achievement. Just doesn't pull money that way :P
Also look at ESO, even they changed to this system and even Lord of the Rings did it before they went free to play :P
Heck even FfXI didn't do this and they still require a sub when it's practically dead.
