No one should be treated badly - new player or vet, but it happens all the time. All I know is even Yoshi said:

we feel that we shouldn't make players feel forced to rush through everything or skip over any of the content and allow them to go through it actually enjoying it, especially if you wanted to take the time to enjoy it.
So even he feels players (new or old) should take their time, enjoy the game and not skip over stuff if they don't want too. I think everyone just needs to relax and take a breath. Personally, I don't mind waiting 30 seconds to a minute to allow someone to watch a cut scene. If I am really that short on time that I can't even wait that long, I probably shouldn't be logging in. lol XD

I am pretty sure - a lot of people (even the ones who tell people to skip cut scenes) will not skip cut scenes once 3.0 comes out... and then go back to telling people to skip them once they have because they don't want to wait. We wouldn't want people telling us to skip something new, yet people do it to others all the time.

If a player knows that if it's a new CS (like the ones coming up in 3.0,or the 2.5-whatever that just came out today to finish the story line) they won't skip it the first time they see it, don't make people skip it on their first time. I don't look at it as a player asking to be treated treated special, when it comes to cut scenes, to me they are asking to be treated equally.
