If we're talking like Allaghan/High Allaghan/Primal Weapons before upgrading kind of glow its not bad, dont mind the Zeta glows too much either. But if were talking Zenith/Animus to Nexus Relic type glows... then no.

I think the glow would be cool for crafting tools.

Dear god no. As someone who spends 90% of my time crafting, the glow would become more annoying then anything in combination with the orb. The only way this suggestion would get my vote would be if a /glow command was implemented that obviously turned the glow on or off.

There IS a way to turn off glowing effects. It's called the Glamour system.
It should be easier though, imo, to get copies of items earlier in relic progression so we can glamour the non-glowing version of the glowing version. So, if the next upgrade past Lucis has a glowing effect, the ability to buy a fake Lucis from the Calamity Salvager.

The glamour system does not do much to help this problem... sure I can glamour MY weapon to something that doesn't glow, but what about all people on my screen? at times the battle field looks like a damn rave where everyone has a glow stick. I'd much rather see the intricate detail of the weapons and gear than some cheap air-brush glow. Maybe SE is just trying hide the low res. textures on gear and weapons. If such the case, I'd still rather look at low res. gear/weapons that a beam of white light.

Just make a glowing dye a person can use so they can run around looking like neon signs![]()

And I hope they ignore your advice *not* to add it because I want them to have some kind of effect as well![]()
If I take the time to go and gear myself up for crafting, why should I get shafted on having a cool effect (something noticeable yet also subdued) after all we got all those god awful glows for healers/tanks/DPS... we might as well have some for people that actually *like* crafting![]()

Definately
Sure, why not
That would actually be cool
you never know now that they are putting housing glamour prisms into 3.0
Whatever your tastes may be lol
