    I would use it if I didn't see so many forum posts about their apps being out of sync and completely locking them out of being able to login.
    and the reason I'm posting to this right now.... Yep, same problem as last time, this time it's been about 40 minutes so far. Requested the email 7 times, still nothing.
    The security measure would work if SE was like any other company in the World.. But why in the world is it taking 40 minutes to send a freaking email?? That's the part I fail to understand. How much stress could their servers be under that they can't send out a simple email? That just makes no sense to me.

    And as far as my having multiple IP addresses, I actually only have 3 stable sources of internet, one at home, one at work, and one when I tether from my phone.. Of course, tethering can be pretty dynamic with IP addresses, so it locks out quite often. Also, SE doesn't lock the account based on using a NEW IP address either. my IP address at home is static, but even when I log on from home after having played elsewhere, it'll still lock the account. That's just overcompensating for their lack of customer service provided for account security.



    EDIT: Just received 18 password reset emails within the span of 2 minutes... An hour after the first one was requested. You really need to figure something out about this. This seems to happen between 2-4am MST. During the day, the messages are usually prompt. What possible stress could your servers be experiencing to have this happen at this wee hour of the morning?


    EDIT2: I stand corrected, total of 22 emails.. they just keep coming.. a couple minutes apart.

    Dunno when that happened for them, but I had no problem over the 2.1-2.4 period using the token, and was forced to stop only because I changed phones (been lazy on reinstalling the app)

    With the software token they give you an "Emergency removal password" (it's in red text on the opening page of http://account.square-enix.com/ once you have added one). I've personally used the software token since it came out (around March 2013) and the only time I've ever had a problem was after I did a upgrade of my Android operating system version which wiped the cache which the app needed. Because I had taken a copy of the removal password though it was a simple action to remove it to my account and then re-add it.

    So as long as your phone's clock is correct (very important or it'll give the wrong times) and you actually make a note of the ERP you'll be fine. The only people complaining that it doesn't work/locked them out are the ones that didn't take a note of it.
