It has a precedent in at least one other game (The Secret World), so I'd like to see it here someday. Perhaps when you queue you could select which jobs you were interested in/capable of and then once a party was matched, it instanced you and automatically changed your job. Or, since it wouldn't know what gear set you wanted to use, the commencement window could pop showing you what job you were selected for. You could then change gear and commence.

WoW had it implemented as well. If you were playing a class that could cover multiple roles with a simple Spec change, it would let you queue for any of the roles you have unlocked.

It could work exactly the same way it does now - it lets you play as a different class while you're waiting in queue as a different one right? And it restricts you from entering until you're on the correct role.

So all it has to do is let you queue as multiple, and what ever spot your character end up filling, you wouldn't be able to enter the instance until you switch to the proper job.

The only problem I see is that it calculates your ilvl of the job you are on at the time of queue. If I queued as both a tank and dps for T9, but it wouldn't know my tank was only ilvl 95 if I queued on my ilvl 120 dps class.

    Rift did the same also.
