Can anyone tell me the price for ff11 expansions please?,cause I believe adoulin expansion was only 29.99, and I was a huge ff11 player and I never spent that much for just one expansion in ff11. Just saying 50 bucks for a expansion with only 2 new jobs, heavenward better give off the wow im hooked effect cause recently I haven't been feeling that from 14 like I did in ff11.

Um the Expansion isn't 50 bucks its 40 bucks, 60 if you want a the CE download stuff and 130 if you want all the CE physical stuff.

As long as it does has a much content as 2.0 launch I'll pay for a digital CE (no choice on EU PS3...) but it does seem pricey, most I paid for ex-packs in past was £20 for the C&C series expansions.

That may be the case in Euros, but for the UK the price tag is the equivalent of something around $190 because someone in SE thought a 1:1 price conversion ratio was a good idea.

Canada as well, 2 day shipping + physical CE, my total was $200.08 ...ouch lol

CE is tailored to "collectors" so the pricing is whatever SE feels it can be sold on, anything added to "base" expansion is a plus so you will be the one deciding if all extra stuff is worth of the price. Will not talk about 'unique' items because you all know, it will be likely to happen you can get them anyway later on shop.

Or else you can buy just the base expansion. Extra stuff is extra.

I doubt it was at little to no profit. Yeah they might have lost some revenue when they removed the sub and the fact that legacy players got it free, but $40 for a game isnt that far off.

Technically, it's not just "Legacy players" but everybody who suscribed during FFXIV v1.

Bought the game, created your account, despised the obvious beta and never touched the game until ARR ? You also got it free.
And, at lauch, I'm sure v1 players were the vast majority of ARR playerbase.

I actually kind of hoping you wrote that to play devil's advocate. You would be hard pressed to find a brand new game priced so low at 40. US$59.99 is typically the norm with some variation. $40 dollars for an MMO expansion is very reasonable.

MMO expansions have been $40 for decades. If anything they should be MORE because of inflation, which is why WoW's newest one is $50.
