This. This move is not meant for "Trolls" at all.
This is mainly a forum to give feedback to the Dev Team, meaning, to give feedback you at least need to try out the features first. Someone who does not log in and test the content is not fit to provide feedback at all.
Im sure the above is the true purpose for this, regardless of what "troll" would or would not do to post.
How many times have we seen some idiot giving feed back based on the status of the game last September? Or when ever it was that they quit. a wall of text about the evils of random sp gain during fights is going to do bugger all about any thing at this point.

yeah, i agree. most of the trolls are white knights that have admitted they haven't played in months. they say they signed in for the first time in months the day before, but then a week later state the same thing. i hear how much better the game was when someone quit in september or october, but they couldn't really tell you a single thing about how the game was pre-1.18. the thing is the game HAD been getting better in stages(besides the nm nerf) until 1.18.

You are using the term "white knight" entirely wrong. Technically, because the "white knights" act to "rescue the damsel in distress", they would be part of the XIV *defense force* in this case, completely opposite the trolls. By definition, trolls attempting to destroy the game would not be, in any shape or form, "white knights".

no i am not. white knights troll people on the forums. if they say they do not like something the white knight directly attacks them telling them to quit the game and use profanity filled statements to do so. this is trolling. they are the defense force of the game by attacking people personally, therefore, trolling them. You are using the term "white knight" entirely wrong. I see what you're saying, but the "white knight" is diametrically opposed to the "troll". I agree with your overall idea, just the wrong terms are being used.no i am not. white knights troll people on the forums. if they say they do not like something the white knight directly attacks them telling them to quit the game and use profanity filled statements to do so. this is trolling. they are the defense force of the game by attacking people personally, therefore, trolling them.

The thing is, FFXIV's white knights are doing both white knighting and trolling simultaneously. They are defending what is obviously not perfect, and also attacking those who say otherwise. They believe they are rescuing the game from destruction by doing so, or at the very least want others to believe their intent is rescuing the game.I see what you're saying, but the "white knight" is diametrically opposed to the "troll". I have witnessed a couple of these kinds of people who did return after months of inactivity after 1.18, say everything is perfect, and bash everyone who has any kind of issue with the patch.
