    Ramuh in FFXIV was practically the size of a mountain. Considerably larger than your examples. The way he makes the ground change for vast distances also wouldn't work very well in an MMO.

    Lastly, we don't have larger Egi solely because of ps3 limitations. Yeah, I said it. They went and locked it away with lore reasons as well and now it will never change.

    LOl you guys, "I dont like summoner, so the devs need to totally rework it!!!!" stop crying. I do like summoner, and while the egis could look a little better (more like the primals and not like a rock or pteradactyl). It's fine the way it is. Its a DoT dps, with a pet. The only thing really wrong with summoner is their single target dps isnt great. Ive seen 1150 dps in aoe situations with RagingStrikes+Bane.

    Summoner is fine. If you dont like it dont play it. Even if the devs did overhaul it, it would just piss off the existing summoners.

    Because that statement is made in complete ignorance of the complexities. How many more models are routinely displayed on screen at once? What level of complexity are those models? What level performance is expected when doing so? How much space does the UI take? Etc.

    If the ps3 was focused on one task it could make a Ramuh that looked photo-realistic, but it would be without anything else going on in the game. It's all the things going on at once that determine how limited you are. The ps3 has only 256mb of memory after all. Pointing out the ps2 had larger summons literally doesn't mean anything at all to this game or the ps3's limitations. In many ways the graphics of the ps2 era were simpler and that helped greatly. As was the menu driven interface. You have to take in the big picture. Not just a single feature. There was an overall jump in fidelity and therefore memory usage that came with the ps3 version over the ps2 version. That requires more memory.

    Egis are small because the game revolves around dodging the warning zones on the ground. Imagine doing Crystal Tower with a bunch of actual sized Titans covering your screen. Not to mention their spell graphics/animations as well. Better yet, imagine doing Titan Extreme with multiple summoners in your group. :\ Not that I don't understand what it is people expected and continue to want for the SMN job. I'd say at least wait and see what happens in Heavensward though.

    How about Summoner's steal Iceheart's little trick for their LB3? Of course, since we don't have piles of crystals lying around, whatever energy the LB gauge represents only let's us hold the form long enough for one good attack.

    Would make SMN's seem a bit more epic, for sure.

    They already said we would be getting those 3. Now if only that it would be very boring. All others jobs are getting 4+ new skills to use as part of their new arsenal, while we might just be stuck with the new "best" summon. I think a pet switch skill mechanic could add a lot to SMN, we need more stuff to diferenciate ourself from just arcanists.

    It is funny we didnt get bigger summons so they could keep their "tough and too powerful image", but just look at what has this image become on Primal Hard Mode runs...

    Don't get me wrong. I like summoner now also, as I said I was going to main it. Till everyone got on the "you have to use... Or your no good"

    But I wouldn't mind them making it more XI styled.

    It can be done. They are just making excuses. Anyone Who believes the ps3 causes these limitations has no idea what they are talking about. The ps3 has dulled down graphics. Already, the bigger egi styles would just be dulled down. I mean seriously. If the ps2 and XI summons can look that much better there's no reason the ps3 can't at least match it.
