SMN is lame currently, rework is a must.

My thoughts if they do old primals (would rather it be new primals)
I see lavi as the area attack summon with surport spells, ramuh as the dot master, gives its own dot and maybe a version of contagion if this is new caster.
As for tank I can see shiva and her sword and shield.
Let me guess how this sequence finishes:I would love for both summoner and blackmage to be reworked. I'm fine with melee being a spam fest. We are supposed to be up close and personal so I think all the button pressing makes for a more chaotic feeling. I've always viewed casters as more elegant and deliberate. They aren't constantly casting spells, but rather spending more time per spell and having some downtime between casts. A blackmage should cast Thunder over the span of a 3-4 seconds and then not cast another nuke for about 5-10 seconds after that. Summoner should spend 5 seconds summoning an avatar, have it out for around 5-10 seconds and then not be able to summon another one for 15-20 seconds.
That is just my ideal for casters and I know it wouldn't fit into the game very well.
You'd also like to see SMN get higher Physick potency to give them something to do in between those 15-20 seconds. Some of us SMNs have been to that rodeo in XI and it still smells like bull manure.
FINAL FANTASY 15 RAMUH. Take notes FF14 team
I didnt start this as a hate post I started as a when is the new Guys coming. I know they were talked about In past.ANother SMN haters post? ¬¬
SMN are fine, mp its a bit more affortable after the last changes.
For me: Levi should be a ranger physical DPS (like tail atacks) with Fear (like his adds) and the water pool skill (like his adds- shadow flare)
Ramuh magical dps with some thunder DOT u can also spread with bane and may charm (like the une u get from chaos)
I am hoping for more skills to buff my pets (no more skills for the SMN imself) and may some "Tranfer pain skill" (tranfer x % of ur dmg to the egi)
I cant see SHiva or King Mog as egis
Also I agree with another poster that the other egis need to be buffed so garuda isnt forced down our throat. the main reason I turned sch (and love it now) is cuz everyone is all "you *have* to use garuda or your trash" so I said screw that and became a healer.
Ifrit is perfectly acceptable in several fights, has been for a while now.I didnt start this as a hate post I started as a when is the new Guys coming. I know they were talked about In past.

I wish comments like the one above would be forwarded to the devteam for once. The future of smn seems pretty dull.SMN is ruined since the beginning anyway. So ok we will have ramuh and levi, great.
We have already titan as tank, garuda as caster and ifrit as dps, so levi will be the "new" caster? and ramuh the "new" dps?
Come on, if the new egi have just the same skills than others but a diffrent ugly skin, i don't see the point of it.
FF11 smn was awsome cause each summon had his own spells/skills/buff for each situation but in 14.....the gameplay is so simple that i don't find it interesting.
Those confirmed 10 levels with new abilities, traits, and summons certainly show they care so little. /sarcasm
That is literally impossible in an MMO. You know that right?
It actually isn't, pets in EQ1 got pretty damn massive + the height bolstering spells worked on them so they ended up being like 2~3 stories high at times. EQ2 still has a lot of larger pets, if you count charmed animals/metamorphasis wands.
I feel like the biggest reason players and SE have for not necessarily feeling like full-sized primals would work relates to them possibly blocking the view of battlefield stuff like AoEs or objects. Which is definitely a valid argument since this game specifically works different than two I mentioned above. However it is possible that they could either give a sort of 'full power release' as a temporary buff for the Egis; they borrow enough of your power to become full primal form for about 20 seconds, utilizing a stronger version of their mainstay skills or gaining some sort of benefit (Ex. 100% critical and expanded AoE radius for Ifrit) or have Summoner's LB 3 activate a skill with an add-on effect based on the Egi you have out.
The Egis also need some base-level rework though, seeing as you need to be an extremely skilled pet manipulator to make Ifrit work properly it seems.
