Really though you are paying an extra £85, for an artbook and a little statue. It is far overpriced. The blu-ray only contains all the trailers, which you can watch on youtube anyway.

Then stay with digital copy which is offering a nice bunch of ingame items (talking about pre-order CE).
Physical CE is just for the biggest freakiest FFXIV fans (not me).

Yes, I know, but I am still expressing my opinion that the extra's aren't worth the cost. I'd probably look through the artbook once, then it would collect dust. As for the statue, it doesn't look that big.

I personally never collect box CEs but I am definitly paying 59.99 for the digital. Thats actually really cheap. I have seen digital CE on other MMOs go for quite a bit more just for digital. Thanks SE

They might not be worth it for you, but they are for many other people.. I was considering the physical CE myself, but I just don't like that statue. If it was a regular dragon rather than a mount, I probably would've gone for the physical CE.

What's worse in all this, Steam players can't even get a physical copy because it won't be able to be redeemed unless purchased through steam. ;_;

39.99 is also for Digital too though? Isn't 59.99 one included both ARR and Heavensward?

I think you are mixing things up.

Digital standard is $40
Digital CE is $60
All-in-One (Standard plus ARR [No CE]) is $60

They said that there wil be a "CE digital upgrade" later for $20.... but that is the last we have heard about it. It isn't available yet.

I actually quite like Minfilia, but not enough for a statue .. I do have an Advent Children Aerith figure though, because Aerith rocks (and I'm aware a lot of people don't agree with that )

I don't understand the argument -

It's priced just right for the people who feel it's worth it. Players who think they can justify 130$ on buying it will buy it, those who can't will get the Digital CE or the Standard. I mean I see people buy stuff for specific prices, and I feel it's a waste of money but that's just my opinion and I don't have the right to complain about how they spend their money. My husband once bought a collectors soundtrack for 50$ and I thought he was nuts, but it was worth it to him. It just depends on the person, and SE know people are willing to spend it; and people are. Personally, I thought they were gonna be worse about it and set it between 150-200$ US, so I was surprised it was 20$ less than my low ball.

That said -

UK people are getting kinda pushed over... It should really be balanced to where if we are spending 130$ + shipping here, they should spend 130$ + shipping (which might be different depending on shipping rules around the word) equivalent. But they are paying, what 130£ which is 63$ more than us in the US. That isn't fair, they should really only be paying 89£ + shipping (for said area) to make closer to fair. I don't know the base price for everyone else, but one of my friends in the UK told me about this.

But if SE is gonna change 130$ make it as close to fair in all countries with the currency used in that region.
