Not just uk, whole EU customer is affected by this overprice. Still annoyed they havnt released this on psn yetWell, SE are ignoring us, so why not do the sensible thing? Email your favourite gaming website, inform them of the situation, when articles start popping up which show that SE are being pretty disgusting towards their UK customers, then SE's reputation as a whole starts to get hit, and their PR department will get involved. Gamers don't like being taken for a ride, so the comments will be along the lines of "that's pretty sick SE, I was going to buy XXX but not now".
I planned to buy the physical CE. When I saw the proposed price of 129.00 USD I was fine with that as I reckoned it meant it would cost around 85.00 GBP. But absolutely NO WAY am I paying 129.00 GBP. It's a complete rip-off and I am extremely unhappy about it. Really not impressed, SE.
yeah. don't even know if they bothered releasing it here yet (and tbh I don't care much anymore). I'm not interested in the plastic trinkets, so will decide closer to release based on its full content, what direction the game is taking as a whole, and its pricing. I think we might be a bit luckier in this regard as they aren't allowed to region-lock us anymore, but my memory on those laws are fuzzy.
The irony is SE have loaded this game up with so much mindless grind and RNG, that I could still be chugging along another 12 months without even considering expanding. Maybe they finally twigged on this and will relax such things in 2.55..... who knows.
Not really with the Euro, the exchange rate on that has varied recently and has been at 1:1, then you have to take into account that SE has to charge VAT based on the country where the person purchased (so Denmark has 25% VAT charged on it, and Luxembourg is at 17%) so the $/€ is pretty fair, what isn't fair is the $>£ and preventing people in the UK purchasing using €
You are right, with a quick calculation into SEK (swedish currency) i would pay around 50SEK more than americans
Ridiculous price. Bye bye CE.
I pray that SE uses Iranian Rial currency. IRR130 please.
I would appreciate a simple explanation from SE to ease peoples ideas as to why is this
That's the thing though, they don't have a reason. It's just them trying to get more money simple as that. If it wasn't i'm sure they will gladly speak about it but sadly this isn't the case. They can't come out and say "oh we did it because we need to think about how financially it could help us". This will get people more annoyed so they picked to stay silent about it. It's just greed simple as that and there is no way around it. They know it the consumers know it.
Since the price is the same regardless of currency, I'll pay with Gil next time. Or tomestones, who knows. 130 Soldiery is 1 Rowena Token, right?
