If someone did manage to hack you, the first thing that they'd do is change the password to keep you out (they've done it to me on FFXI). So you'd get a password error if you were, no worries.

Even then if get a message telling you your password is wrong, it still does not mean did get hacked. SE system works in a way that if reset your router it sometimes tells you your password is wrong and asks you to reset your password for security purposes, generally I assume due to IP change if your IP is not static. I have never been hacked yet have had to change my password a LOT due to this. It is annoying but I am okay with it in general as a security measure.
